Two women were taken to local hospitals after a collision at Hamm and South Transit roads Monday afternoon.
The two-car crash reportedly occurred when one of the drivers pulled out of a business parking lot near the intersection.
The Rapids Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
The driver of one car was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center. The other driver was transported by ambulance to Lockport Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Niagara County Sheriff’s Sgt. Kevin Mack said the injuries “didn’t appear to be life-threatening.”
The investigation into the crash is continuing, and Mack said one of the drivers will likely be ticketed for failure to yield.
The names of the drivers were not released Monday afternoon.
