Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — So what is my point? My point is that people tend to get caught up in things that really do not matter and that can really screw their life up. The things that should be important in your life are the things that should be important to you. If you wake up every day satisfied with the way things in your world are going, then you win. But if something feels a little off, then fix it.
I used to think that it takes major life changes to feel better about things. If I wanted to feel better about my job, then I would need to make a major job change. It turns out that waking up earlier so I could focus a bit more on my job in the morning rather than scrambling to get it done in the evening was the real problem. Now I get a lot more done and leave myself a lot more time to do the things I want to do.
When you see big challenges ahead or you feel uneasy about the things in your life, it can sometimes be the slightest changes that make you suddenly feel better about things. If you feel that you have too much drama in your life, then maybe you should chop down your Facebook friends list and worry more about real problems than the problems people seem to create online.
I talk a lot about priorities, and I will always feel that your priorities are the things that should dictate your life. But you can feel lost with your priorities if you never seem to have the time to attend to them. Trust me, you don’t need more hours in a day to get things done. You just need to worry more about the important things and the rest will usually fall into place.
