My oldest, dearest friend is a new mother. And I can’t help but be happy and excited for her.
What I failed to mention is that I might just be a little bit jealous. There aren’t a whole lot of moments in your life that you want to go back to and revisit. But that’s one of them, for sure.
Talking with her the other day reminded me of how much life changed when my first daughter was born.
“The world will be different now. Everything will be more beautiful. More fun. Scary at times. But totally worth it,” I told her.
And then they become teenagers and the harder parenting begins. I’m still trying to figure that part out.Scott Leffler is a free-thinking patriot who thinks that personal cars and presidential planes should be left alone. And that babies are worth celebrating. Follow him on twitter @scottleffler.
