Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Ah, those cool nights! After our scorcher of a summer those snuggle-under-a-blanket temps make it hard to get out of bed, but it’s still summer, with lots to do before those school bells ring on Sept. 4. What is it about the start of school that instantly makes me think of pumpkins, hot cocoa and sweaters? It might be those trees I passed on the Lake Road yesterday, already turning into shades of orange and red. Autumn is my favorite season, and I’d like it a lot more if it wasn’t followed by the harsh winter. Still, we are blessed to be able to enjoy all the seasons where we live.
