The Wilson Golden Agers will meet Tuesday at the Wilson Fire Hall, 250 Young St. Coffee and tea are served beginning at 10 a.m. The 11 a.m. meeting will be followed by Christmas dinner for those who signed up. Bring your $5 payment if you haven’t already paid. A few seats are still available for the trip to the Savannah, Jekyll Island and the Beaufort, S.C. area from April 6 to 12. Exley United Methodist Church has just finished its first successful “Grief Share Group.” The next group will be starting up again from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 7 at the church, 338 Lake St., Wilson. Grief Share is a 13-week biblical-based program, video seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. Attendees have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a loss. Registration is $15 — scholarships are available — and child care is provided for children ages 2 to 11. Marge Clark from the Wilson Free Library regretfully announced that there will be no Holiday Tour of Homes this year. Hopefully, the tours will return next year. Clark would also like to remind everyone to fill out a library survey. They can be found at the library and town and village offices.

• Senior soccer player Kaylee Stoelting was featured in YNN’s newscasts for receiving its Athlete of the Week award.
• Congratulations to Tim Walch, Kevin Daunce, Tyler Hedley and Justin Westmorland for being named to the 2013 All Niagara Gazette Football Team. Hunter Howland also earned an Honorable Mention nod.
• Kudos to senior Chase Wheeler for being selected to the 2013 WNY All-Academic Football Team. The award is granted by WNY High School Sports and to qualify, Chase had to be a starter with an overall GPA of 90 or above. He will be honored at a banquet on Saturday.
