'Wilson Wave' rolling on toward Saturday walk

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Good morning, dear readers: How’s everyone this week? Welcome to autumn. I love all the seasons here in Wilson, but I think autumn is up there at the top. When I retired, I chose a place as far north as possible, as I hate steaming hot weather. Little did I know that the Lake Ontario shore offered such a great climate. I really shouldn’t be telling you this, as everyone will want to live here — and I prefer to keep it my “little” secret.

At 7 tonight, aerial photographer Dick Gallagher will present a special program at the Wilson Historical Society, 645 Lake St. Dick will discuss his love of flying and photography and share some of his many photographs. A portion of the program will be devoted to the early pioneers in aviation and, in particular, crop dusting in the Wilson/Olcott area. Refreshments will be served.

Marge Clark is again joining in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, this Saturday at Artpark in Lewiston. Her team, the Wilson Wave, is gratefully accepting donations to the cause, which is to help the Alzheimer’s Association enhance patient care and support and clinical research. Marge knows firsthand the wonderful work that the Alzheimer’s Association does. To donate or join the team, search for Marjorie Clark or the Wilson Wave team page at alz.org.
