The Newfane Lions Club will be presenting its annual Halloween party Oct. 31 at the Newfane Community Center. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the costume contest starting at 6:30 p.m. Cash prizes will be given to the winners in each age group. Lions members will be handing out 50-cent pieces at the door and cider provided by Russell Farms and doughnuts by Budwey’s Market will also be available to all who attend. Lions and Leos will also be collecting used eye glasses, hearing aids, ink jet cartridges, cell phones and peanut butter and jelly.

It almost time for a Turkey Party. The Wrights Corners Fire Company will hold its annual event at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at the fire hall, 4043 Lake Ave. Refreshments will be served; and the event benefits the Exempts.

The Newfane United Methodist Church is once again holding its Candy Cane Lane Craft Show and Café from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 6. The craft show coincides with the Newfane Town Holiday Light Up and Parade. Call Pat at 778-7705 for an application. Spaces are limited.
