High schooler Dominic Curcione raised more than $200 during Friday’s bake sale for the Our Military Kids organization, which helped him during his father’s deployment. Thanks to Home and Careers teacher Debi Sweeney for helping Dom with his fundraising efforts.
Congratulations to 10 high school students for being chosen to participate in the Area All State Chorus at Fredonia College on Nov. 23: Alicia Britton, Kevin Wiesinger, Kristina Kopchick, Max Schultz, Jacob Graca, Adam Murray, Caitlin Boyle, Bonnie Milczarski, Emily Kam and Allie Bubar; with Tyler DiMarco and Wesley Trank as alternates.
Kudos to Nathan Keil, for being selected to participate in All State Orchestra.
Congratulations to middle school students Brianna Bagwell and Zach Beyer, who participated in the Junior High Area All State Music Festival in Akron.

Donations for the United Stockings for Sailors and Soldiers drive will be accepted until Friday. WCS is hoping to make and stuff 200 stockings to forward to the USSS organization this year. Thanks to Teresa Manna, the founder of USSS, for allowing Wilson to be involved with the project. You can help with USSS by donating items to help fill the stockings. Suggested items include toiletries, clothing, food items, entertainment and other essentials, including lighters, flashlights, pens and small hand tools. All items must fit in a stocking. Freshly made Douglas Fir Christmas wreaths are again being offered by the Greenwood Cemetery Advisory Committee. The wreaths will be placed in early December and removed in the spring. The cost is $25, and orders must be placed and payments received no later than Nov. 27. For more information, call the town clerk’s office at 651-6704.
