Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Welcome to December! Don’t let today’s balmy weather fool you. It’s winter in Western New York, so be sure to fill your wiper fluid tank and carry that scraper, as well as extra scarves and gloves for warmth. There are now 21 days before Christmas, but there are no longer shopping “days” since some stores are already open 24 hours, so the fun never ends. Be safe out there and remember what the season is really about.

“Scrooge, the Musical” has been a tradition at the Lockport Palace Theatre for 10 years, but this is its last year, so don’t miss its final weekend. You’ll see several Barker folks in the cast, including 10-year-old Lena and Laura Fazzolari. “It’s a Wonderful Life,” the movie classic on the big screen, will be shown Dec. 22. It’s my favorite movie and should be shared by everyone this holiday season. It’s magical!
