Lockport Union-Sun & Journal —
• Look for fresh produce from Larry Childs’ farm on Thursday. Farmers in the park continue on Thursday evenings in Barker Village Park. Although there will be no more market entertainment etc., our local vendors will keep turning up on Thursday nights in the park to bring you fall produce and more. The vendors will show up as long as the weather co-operates and harvest keeps coming.
• Pirate Bingo is on tap this Friday at the Barker Seniors next meeting at the Barker Fire Hall. The Niagara County Nutrition menu will be tomato-beef lasagna, parmesan cheese, chef salad with cucumbers, red cabbage and carrots, Italian dressing, Italian bread, fresh local melon, milk and coffee or tea. Be sure to order your meal before Sept. 19 by calling the Somerset Town Hall at 795-3575. Get back into the swing with your fellow seniors this week. The Pirate Bingo is a last minute addition so spread the word!
