The Wilson Historical Society you offer everyone an opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 2, with more than 20 vendors and crafters to choose from.
Also on Nov. 2, Exley United Methodist Church is hosting its Annual Country Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will feature a Victorian-style tea with muffins served at 9 a.m., handcrafted wreaths and jewelry, florals, aprons, homemade dog biscuits, catnip pillows, baked goods, homemade fudge and candies, jams, jellies and pickles, themed baskets for sale, and a chicken casserole luncheon served at 11 a.m.
The Garden Gate’s Holiday Open House will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 2 and 3 at 257 Young St., Wilson. At 2 p.m. Nov. 3, attendees can sample wines from Schulze Vineyards and Winery. Call 751-6402 for more information.
Garner Light, Wilson-Lake Plains coordinator, has announced that the Christmas Bird Count will be Dec. 14. The Wilson-Lake Plains bird count covers a 15-mile radius that covers parts of Lockport, Newfane, Wilson, Olcott, Cambria, Ransomville. This includes all of the Lake Ontario shoreline from Wilson-Tuscarora State Park to Phillips Road in Olcott. If you are interested in watching your bird feeders that day, or if you have neighbors or friends within the count circle that would be interested in helping, let Light know.
