Town of Wilson Supervisor Joe Jastrzemski had received a few letters from Wilson residents asking about putting a columbarium in Greenwood Cemetery. Councilman Brad Clark was asked to investigate, and then brought the information to a workshop. Original estimates were around $20,000. But with some help from two Wilson residents, Bubby Pawlak, who donated his company’s help installing the foundation; and Steve Clark, with his donation of bringing a crane to install the columbarium, which weighed 8,300 pounds, this brought the cost down to about $17,000. The Town Board voted to proceed with the project, and it was delivered this month. The columbarium is a structure that houses cremated remains. It is available now by contacting Dave Ross at Hamilton/Clark Funeral Home.
