Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — WILSON — The village of Wilson’s community brush pile on Ontario Street is closed until further notice.
Village superintendent of public works Keith Dixon said that the costs for removing the brush from the pile have increased dramatically over the past few years.
“We’ve had issues with people from outside the village dropping off brush as well,” Dixon said. “It used to not be a problem, anyone was able to dump here, but it’s getting too expensive now.”
The village will have a grinder brought in soon to help get rid of some of the brush.
