The case was crafted by wood artist Jon Hotaling. It will be on display at his market booth every Thursday or you can get a ticket from any Legion member. Proceeds will send a local youth to Boy’s State.

• The Barker Fire Department is gearing up for “Beer, Band and Bike Night” to be held from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday at the Barker Fire Hall and pavilion. Admission is free and the first 100 registered bikers will receive commemorative pins. Niagara County Custom Cycle will judge the bike show, from 6 to 9 p.m. Look for cash prizes, cold beer, food and merchandise vendors, 50/50 draws and more fun, whether you’re a biker or not.

• There will be a Chiavetta’s chicken barbecue on July 24 to raise funds for our amazing Challenger Sports League for handicapable kids and adults.
