Out for a morning stroll with the warming weather? Faith United Methodist Church is open for walkers from 8 a.m. to noon from Wednesday through Friday. Sixteen laps around the inside of their building equals one mile and you can even enjoy a cup of coffee and fellowship. On Sunday, they offer BYOM; bring your own mug and brew a hot beverage and visit with friends and neighbors before and after Sunday services.

Celebrating their 30th year together, the Barker Community Band wishes to remind all musicians — senior high school students and adults — that you are welcome to join the band any time during the year. The band plays various concerts throughout the year for civic organizations, churches and senior citizens. So, musicians of all ability levels, dust off your instruments and join the fun and camaraderie at 7 p.m. Mondays in the Barker Central School music room. For more information, call 795-9218.

The next meeting of the Barker Seniors is May 16 at the Barker Fire Hall, when magician Ted Burczynski will return for another amazing program of magic and laughs. Don’t go to seniors? Come on down to see Ted’s magic show at noon. The Niagara County Nutrition luncheon menu is chicken a la king over rice, broccoli, 12 grain bread, milk and coffee or tea. Call the Somerset Town Hall at 795-3575 to reserve a lunch. Due to a cancellation, there are two seats available for the May 30 to June 1 trip to Lancaster, Pa. The cost of $350 per person, double occupancy, covers transportation, three days, two nights lodging, Sight ‘N Sound production of Moses, American Music Theatre performance of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Music of the Night, two breakfasts, one buffet dinner and one buffet lunch. Call Jo Ann Greenwald at 795-3787 for information.
