Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — ROYALTON — The town board on Monday authorized Highway Superintendent Terry Nieman to purchase a new excavator for the town.
The board approved a resolution allowing Nieman to purchase a new Volvo Mini Excavator at a cost not to exceed $99,000. The excavator is to be purchased from HGACBuy, a municipal cooperative purchasing company.
The board also voted to accept three new members into Terry's Corners Volunteer Fire Company and authorized two waivers of the 30-day municipality notification for on-site liquor, beer and wine licenses. The Niagara-Orleans Country Club and Big Mike's Bar and Grill, Inc. requested the waivers, which speed up the licensing process.
