Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Our friends in all communities are invited to join us for the event. If you are interested in one of the organizations, Barker folks can refer you to the chapter in your home community. Teenagers who must get qualifying community service hours for school are invited to network and explore their options. If you have an American flag that is worn and tattered from the weather, bring it to the Legion members on Sunday, and it will be respectfully retired at their annual flag-burning ceremony. If you can donate a prize or gift certificate to the Optimist auction, contact me at 795-9262 for a pick-up or leave it at Thee Barker Store. See you there!
Students in the Barker Academy of Finance at Barker School are presenting a program from 5:30 to 6:30 tonight. The Academy prepares students for college and careers so they can move forward into the future. Come to see and hear what BCS students have been learning as they make their special presentations. Parents, students and community members are welcome; use the Haight Road entrance to the Jr.-Sr. cafeteria.
