ENH-Newfane cafeteria hours adjusted

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — NEWFANE — Eastern Niagara Hospital has stopped employee cafeteria services on evenings and weekends at the Newfane site, the hospital said last week.

In an emailed statement from Carolyn Moore, ENH community relations director, the hospital said, “From time to time the hospital makes adjustments to align more closely to operational needs. Based on limited use, cafeteria services for employees will no longer be provided evenings and weekends.”

Dietary services for patients are not affected, the hospital said.

With the latest “adjustments,” no changes were made in hospital staffing except for the elimination of one licensed practical nursing position, Moore said. But that individual will likely be moved to another position, she added.
