STROLL AROUND NEWFANE: Bring the kids out for Family Night

(Continued)

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — • • •

The Newfane Lions would like you to identify 2014’s Outstanding Adult and Youth. Write up that special adult who is always there for the kids or that high school student who is always helping out at school, church and around town. Candidates for the Outstanding Adult award are at least 21 years old and have positively contributed to the youth of the community. Outstanding Youth candidates are younger than 21 and have set a positive example within the community through their involvement, activities and accomplishments in school, church and community organizations. To nominate someone, send a letter or email expressing why you feel this person is “outstanding.” Judging is based solely on the information received. Nominations may be sent to Newfane American Legion Post 873, 6118 Corwin Ave., Newfane, NY 14108-1119, emailed to NewfaneLegion@yahoo.com or dropped off at the town clerk’s office.

Newfane-area residents, send your news to juliechatterbox@msn.com (jpeg pictures, MSWord or text in emails only); or to 8691 Lake Road No. 9, Barker, NY 14012. To be in next week's Stroll Around Newfane, information should be in Julie's hands by 6 p.m. Tuesday.
