Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — • The Barker PTSA Fall Fundraiser will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday at Perfect Images Salon, 8677 Main St. in Barker. It will feature the following local businesses providing services for $10 each, including manicures by Laura Fazzolari, men and boys haircuts by barber Mark McKee, women and girls haircuts, a massage therapist and foot reflexology by Lynn Ewald. Also included will be a Chinese auction, refreshments and local vendors for Avon, Miche, Thirty One, Tastefully Simple, Jewelry by Roberta Callaghan, Tupperware and Scentsy Flameless Candles. • The next meeting of the Barker Seniors will be on November 2 at the Barker Fire Hall. If you did not sign up for lunch at the last meeting, be sure to order your meal before Nov. 1 by calling the Somerset Town Hall at 795-3575. Reservations are being taken now for a November trip to Vidler’s 5 & 10, lunch at Tony Rome’s and the Made in America Store. Cost is $35. A December 6 trip to Yorkshire Hall for a Christmas memories program will stop at Cutter’s Cheese afterward. Cost is $35 and includes bus, entertainment, beverage and dessert. In March the group will be taking a three day tour to Lancaster, Penn. to see Noah, so you can get further information at the meeting. Beginning the second meeting in November, members are invited to play cards like euchre, pinochle or whatever you like before and after the meetings. • It’s time for the Barker Fire Department’s annual Fall Raffle and tickets are going fast. The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on November 4 at the Barker Fire Hall. Doors open at noon. A $20 ticket gets you a spaghetti dinner, beer and pop and a chance to win one of 20 great prizes, including hotel stays, guns, $200 gift certificates and more. The door prize is $1,000 cash. There will also be 50/50 draws, side raffles and pull-tabs. You can get tickets from any fireman.
