Sinclair Memorial Walk set for Saturday

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — The Norman Sinclair Memorial Walk will be held Saturday at Widewaters Marina.

The annual walk is a fundraiser for the United Way of Greater Niagara.

Sinclair, a lifelong Lockportian, was a tireless volunteer for community organizations and causes including the Eastern Niagara United Way, the Grigg-Lewis Foundation, the Cornell Cooperative Extension, Niagara County Community College, Lockport Public Library  and Lockport Rotary Club.

The walk will take place rain or shine Saturday morning. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. Participants will be treated to food and drink afterward.

The cost to walk is $20 per adult and $10 per child age 11 to 17 years old; children 10 years old or younger don't pay anything.

Proceeds will support community programs focused on education, health and income.

For more information, call the United Way of Greater Niagara at 216-4582 or visit www.uwgn.org.
