City of Lockport
• CHARGED: Three Niagara Street residents were charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance. They are Paul D. Root, 48, 167 Niagara St.; Diane Morse, 50, 267 Niagara St. Apt. 2 and James E. Hunt, 53, 267 Niagara St. Apt. 2. According to police, Root was stopped at 8:30 p.m. Saturday on Niagara Street for an equipment violation.
Pendleton
• HARASSMENT: A Lockport woman reported she was assaulted by another female while at the South Transit Lanes on Saturday. Police say the victim reported she was verbally harassed by the woman while they were at opposite sides of the bar. The victim said the suspect came to her side of the bar and pulled her by the hair, causing her and her chair to fall to the floor. The victim said she was punched and several males separated the two females. A witness verified the victim’s account and the patrol sought an arrest warrant from the Town of Pendleton.
Town of Lockport
• SUSPICIOUS PERSON: According to police, the manager of Allie Brants bowling lanes was advised by juvenile of an older male in the men's restroom acting inappropriately. A suspect was found near the restroom and the Sheriff’s Department was notified. The juvenile reported that the suspect asked him if the two girls were his mother, referring to two other juveniles. A short time later, the juvenile went to the restroom and the man said something. Police say the man, who was located in the parking lot, denied talking to juvenile. He was transported to his residence by the patrol and the incident is being reviewed.
• SHOPLIFTING: Kayla Rennee Sykes, 18,19 Tudor Lane was charged with petit larceny. Wal-Mart security officers reported that Sykes attempted to leave the store without paying for two pairs of jeans. Sykes was issued an appearance ticket.
