BLOTTER: Police reports published May 20

City of Lockport

• DRUGS: Brandon S. Chapman, 24, 59 Weld St., was charged Sunday evening with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and driving without a valid license after a traffic stop on South Transit Street. Chapman allegedly admitted to having several hydrocodone pills in his right pocket, and officers reportedly found two bags containing pills in his pocket. He was held in lieu of $250 bail.

Town of Lockport

• VANDALISM: An Old Beattie Road woman reported Sunday morning that overnight, someone threw a wrench at her 1997 Ford, damaging the paint and the passenger tail light. Damage was estimated at $300.

• CONTEMPT: Robert A. Woodruff, 24, 3025 Springview Drive, Newfane, was charged Saturday with second-degree criminal contempt after a traffic stop on South Transit Road. Woodruff was reportedly driving, with a Newfane woman as his passenger. Deputies found the woman has an order of protection against Woodruff, the report said. He was held in lieu of $500 bail and is due today in Lockport Town Court.

Pendleton

• VANDALISM: A Campbell Boulevard woman reported Sunday that overnight, someone threw food items at her home, damaging a window screen. Damage was estimated at $100, the report said.

Wilson

• LARCENY: An Ide Road woman reported Sunday evening that sometime in August, someone stole about 200 vintage coins, worth about $85,000, from a safe in her home. The coins belonged to the woman’s late husband. The woman said she did not report the theft earlier because she thought a family member may have taken the coins.
