BLOTTER: Police reports published July 23

City of Lockport

• HARASSMENT: Paul S. Gambino, 51, 2 Lincolnshire Drive, was charged Tuesday with second-degree harassment. Gambino allegedly punched a man during an argument July 10 on Locust Street. He was released on his own recognizance and is due Monday in Lockport City Court.

• DISORDERLY: Nicholas P. Zimmerman, 22, 291 South St., and Matthew W. Neal, 25, 23 Kramer St., North Tonawanda, were each charged early Tuesday with disorderly conduct and an open container violation. Officers responded to a Main Street apartment building for a report of two men fighting and reportedly saw Zimmerman and Neal in the doorway pushing and shoving each other. As officers got out of the patrol car, Zimmerman and Neal allegedly tried to conceal a 22-ounce bottle of Labatt’s Ice. As they did, the bottle dropped to the ground, shattering and leaving shards of glass and beer on the ground, the report said. Neal and Zimmerman were reportedly highly intoxicated and used vulgar language. They are due Monday in Lockport City Court.

• DRUGS: Chad A. Michalak, 27, 22 Pound St., lower, was charged Monday night with unlawful possession of marijuana, second-degree criminal impersonation, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and an equipment violation after a traffic stop on Saxon Street. Michalak allegedly told officers his name was Matthew. Officers reportedly found a small baggie containing marijuana and a small pipe on the driver’s-side floor of the car. Michalak was held without bail and is due today in Lockport City Court.

• DWI: Timothy N. Bruning, 40, 4919 Keck Road, was charged Tuesday morning with driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana after a 2:35 a.m. traffic stop on Gooding Street. Officers were conducting a road check when Bruning reportedly passed through. Bruning allegedly failed several field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. During a search of Bruning, officers reportedly found a metal pipe with marijuana residue and a tin containing suspected marijuana. Bruning was held in lieu of $500 bail and is due today in Lockport City Court.

Wheatfield

• LARCENY: A Cayuga Drive man reported Monday evening that someone stole two cement lion ornaments from his property. The ornaments each weigh about 50 to 70 pounds and are each worth about $80.
