CONTEMPT: William P. Garvey, 21, 1010 Ontario St., Apt. lower, Niagara Falls, was charged Monday with second-degree criminal contempt. He was held for court.

HARASSMENT: Matthew J. Siuda, III, 5001 Woodway Court, Hamburg, was charged Tuesday with second-degree aggravated harassment and second-degree criminal contempt. He was scheduled for court this week.

LARCENY: An employee of the Palace Theatre told Lockport Police he left his backpack in the basement near the dressing rooms of the theater sometime on Tuesday. When he returned to the basement, he found the backpack in a different spot and the contents missing. A laptop computer and two chargers were missing, totaling $1,350.

POSSESSION: Shelby M. McElwain, 19, no address given, was charged Tuesday with resisting arrest, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a hypodermic needle and underage possession of alcohol. She was held for court.

MENACING: David J. Stymus, 26, 145 East Ave., Apt. 2, was charged Wednesday with first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree harassment, second-degree coercion, third-degree menacing and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. He appeared in city court Wednesday.

UNLICENSED: Nicholas M. Smith, 24, 262 Garden St., Apt. E, was charged Wednesday with driving without a license and without inspection. He is due Tuesday in Lockport City Court.

Town of Pendleton

ACCIDENT: The New York State Police reported a two-car accident on Fiegle Road around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday resulting in property damage. No injuries were reported. 

Town of Lockport

ACCIDENT: The New York State Police reported a single-car accident on South Transit Road around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday. No injuries were reported. 

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT: Brian J. Green, 37, 328 Ferry Ave., Niagara Falls, was charged with aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate on Tuesday around 6:20 p.m., the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said. According to correction officers at the Niagara County Jail, Green became verbally abusive during a strip search and was upset about a recent court proceeding. Green allegedly lunged at and spit on one officer. Green is being held on $2,000 bail, and is due back in Town of Lockport Court today.
