POSSESSION: Jade Harris, 20, 254 Church St., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana March 7. Harris was given a court appearance ticket.

DWI: Lucas J. Crane, 21, 26 Hanwell Place, Depew, was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding March 8. Lockport Police said Crane had a city court appearance set for Monday.

DWI: Demetrius L. Barber, 33, 2021 Tuscarora Road, Niagara Falls, was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding March 9. Barber had a court appearance scheduled for Monday.

LARCENY: Lockport Police said an unknown person took a Yamaha WX5 wind midi controller from a storage area at Christ Community Church, 140 Genesee St. The controller was in a gray case and is valued at $750.

NO LICENSE: John P. Zimmerman, 32, 149 Spalding St., was charged Tuesday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to signal a turn and failure to stop at a stop sign. He is due today in city court.

Town of Lockport

BURGLARY: A Beattie Avenue resident reported that $200 worth of venison was stolen from a freezer in his kitchen some time between Feb. 14 and March 7. The stolen meat consisted of four back straps, 30 pounds of cube venison steak and 14 pounds of breakfast sausage. According to the homeowner, no other items were taken or moved, and family members denied taking the meat. No signs of forced entry into the home were found, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

LARCENY: A Williamsville woman reported her purse was stolen after she mistakenly left it at a South Transit Road restaurant about noon March 8. The woman said she realized her loss after she returned home, called the restaurant and was told that nobody had turned it in. The woman said she had her credit cards and bank card cancelled. The sheriff’s office is attempting to review surveillance footage from the restaurant.
