Three more charged in meth bust

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Three more people are facing charges in relation to a Niagara County Drug Task Force warrant arrest Monday in Lockport, which led to the discovery of methamphetamine in a Spalding Street apartment.

Lockport Police said Drug Task Force members visited an apartment at 8 a.m. Monday at 107 Spalding St. looking for a man on an outstanding parole warrant. Officers found the man, Raymond Burley, 26, of Niagara Falls, but while in the apartment, they also found a small plastic bag with a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Police said they found “items commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine” in the apartment and more equipment in Burley’s car. The DTF had obtained search warrants for both.

Keith D. Nablo, 45, 107 Spalding St., Apt. B, was charged Thursday with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance and criminal nuisance. Nablo, who reportedly had methamphetamine on him, was arrested at his residence Thursday and held for court.

Lavetta L. Turner, 31, 9 Elm Court, was charged Friday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. A Lockport Police report said Turner was in possession of an unspecified amount of methamphetamine, as was Jillian M. Greenlief and Kristy A. Buckley, who were each charged Monday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Buckley was also charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Greenlief and Buckley were the first to be charged. Police said Turner wasn’t located until Friday when she was found at her residence. She was given an appearance ticket for Wednesday in city court.

Burley, 26, 1570 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls, was charged Thursday morning with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was brought from the Niagara County Jail and processed by officers on Friday.

Burley, who is being held in Niagara County Jail, was charged with running a mobile meth lab in October 2011.
