Three bar patrons, including the initial assailant, were treated for injuries after police responded to a call about a fight at Lock 34 early Saturday.

According to Lockport Police Department, police were called to the Main Street bar/restaurant at 2 a.m. and, upon arrival, found three people stabbed or cut.

Lamont C. Washington, 25, 122 Cottage St. upper, was charged with first-degree assault and possession of a weapon, police said. Washington was injured during the fight and was transported back to the Lockport Police Department for processing after being treated and released from Erie County Medical Center.

Washington is being held without bail until he is arraigned Monday, police said.

One of the victims, Eric Hayes, of Gasport, was transported to ECMC by Mercy Flight, police said. He was discharged Saturday, the hospital's patient information department said.

The third victim's identity was not immediately available, police said.

A third man was taken to Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport and transferred to ECMC for treatment of injuries he suffered in the fracas, according to early police reports.
