Teens charged with Papa Leo's break in

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — A pair of city teens are facing charges after breaking into a Main Street restaurant on Sunday.

Kyle D. Ball, 18, 35 Beattie Ave., Apt. 7, was charged Sunday with third-degree burglary, petit larceny and fifth-degree conspiracy.

Stephen N. Runfola, 19, 198 Pine St., Apt. 4D, was charged Sunday with fifth-degree conspiracy and third-degree trespassing.

Lockport Police showed up to Papa Leo’s at about 5:49 a.m. Sunday morning and found one of the doors open. Officers found and detained Ball and Runfola on Heritage Court near Pine Street, just a short walk from the pizza place.

Papa Leo’s had video footage that reportedly showed Ball forcibly enter the restaurant by pulling open the exterior door — which had a deadbolt — and entering with Runfola, police said. Ball reportedly took a 20-ounce Mug root beer, which costs about $2.49, then left with Runfola.

Both Ball and Runfola were arrested without incident and appeared Monday morning in Lockport City Court.
