Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — City of Lockport

BURGLARY: Tammy L. Kathke, 44, 152 Cottage St., Apt. 5, was charged Monday with third-degree burglary, petit larceny and fifth-degree possession of stolen property. Lockport Police said Kathke appeared Monday in city court.

ASSAULT: Floyd McGriff, Jr., 40, 368 Walnut St., was charged Sunday with third-degree assault, third-degree menacing, obstruction of breathing and second-degree coercion. McGriff was arrested and appeared Monday in Lockport City Court.

POSSESSION: Robert O. Humes, 27, 36 Columbus Ave., Apt. 1, was charged Sunday with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Nahshon T. Hughes, 34, 6558 Lincoln Ave., was charged with third degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct at around 8 p.m. Sunday, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said. Hughes was taken to the Niagara County Jail and held on $750 bail. Hughes was due in Lockport Town Court yesterday.  

PRISON CONTRABAND: Justin A. Wittcop, 32, 8814 Haseley Road, Gasport, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and introducing dangerous contraband into a prison, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said. Wittcop was held at the Niagara County Jail on $1,000 bail and is due Thursday in Lockport Town Court. 

ANIMAL COMPLAINT: Paul W. Stitt, 24, Lockport, was charged with abandonment of a disabled animal around 11:45 a.m. Sunday, the New York State Police said. He was issued an appearance ticket for court.

Gasport

ASSAULT: David P. Corra, 41, 8676 Dewhirst Road, was charged Monday with third degree assault and second degree menacing with a weapon, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said. Corra was remanded to Niagara County Jail where he was held on $1,000 bail. An order of full protection was also issued for the victim of the assault. Corra is due Wednesday in Lockport Town Court.

HARASSMENT: A Mapleton Road woman reported that her daughter was receiving threatening messages from a male Canadian Facebook friend on her cellphone between 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said. According to the woman, her daughter posted on Facebook that she thought a different boy was cute and then started receiving messages from the Canadian man that he was going to buy a plane ticket, come to town and kill her. The responding deputy told the mother and daughter that they shouldn’t respond to any more messages and a report would be on file.
