Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — A Gasport man was charged Monday after receiving unemployment benefits while gainfully employed, the New York State Police said.
Dustin J. Hall, 24, of State Street, was charged with third-degree grand larceny, first-degree falsifying business records and first-degree offering a false instrument for filing.
According to police, the New York State Department of Labor conducted an investigation that suggested Hall received over $10,000 in unemployment benefits while employed in Lockport.
Hall was arraigned in Lockport City Court and was remanded to the Niagara County Jail, where he is currently serving a sentence on an unrelated case.
