Lockport teen caught egging buses

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — A Lockport teenager was charged with second-degree harassment around 2:30 p.m. Thursday after he was caught throwing eggs at school buses, police said.

Josiah J. Chandler, 18, 52 Genesee St., was also charged with two counts of third-degree criminal tampering.

According to police, an officer saw Chandler throwing eggs at buses near Lockport High School. The officer was told that an egg struck a student who was sitting on one of the buses in the neck, causing redness and swelling. Chandler was stopped at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Pine Street, where police said his actions caused several buses to brake suddenly in order to avoid further confrontation.

Multiple bus drivers pointed Chandler out and said that he was throwing eggs. Chandler had yolk on his pants as well as his hands, and told the responding officer that it was his "senior prank," police said.

Chandler is due in City Court on Monday.
