Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Town of Lockport

MARIJUANA: Michael V. Marek, 21, of Rochester, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana June 14 after a traffic stop on Townline Road. Marek was given a court appearance ticket by New York State Police.

MARIJUANA: Alison M. Culver, 36, of Lockport, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana June 14. Culver was given a court appearance ticket by New York State Police.

Cambria

MISCHIEF: A Blackman Road man reported to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office that an unknown person caused $300 damage to his lawn on June 15. The victim said he heard loud revving of an engine at about 2 a.m., possibly by a turbo diesel truck. A report was filed.

Hartland

DWAI: Matthew M. Kearns, 29, 5615 West Bluff, Olcott, was charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol and operating a motor vehicle with .08 percent blood alcohol content late June 14. Kearns' vehicle reportedly was found in a ditch near the Seaman and Quaker roads intersection. Breath testing indicated Kearns had a blood alcohol content of .16 percent, according to the sheriff's office. Kearns is set to appear July 1 in Hartland Town Court.

Newfane

MARIJUANA: Dominic M. Annalora, 22, 2486 Fuller Road, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of a hypodermic needle, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal contempt and failure to deliver license and registration June 15. Annalora was arraigned in Newfane Town Court and was ordered held in lieu of $1,000 bail. He's due to return to town court June 24.

Somerset

NO LICENSE: Daniel J. Dembrowski, 52, 1359 Hartland Road, Barker, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without inspection and operating a motor vehicle without insurance June 15. Dembrowski is due to appear Thursday in Somerset Town Court.

Wilson

FIRE CALL: At about 1:20 p.m. Sunday, Niagara County Sheriff's deputies were called to a parking lot at 641 Lake St. for a vehicle fire. When they arrived the fire was being put out with an extinguisher. Deputies reported that the fire was kept to the engine compartment of the vehicle, a 1990 Jeep Wrangler. 

Wheatfield

MARIJUANA: Sean F. Brown, 17, 6224 Bartz Road, Lockport, and Paul A. Gallo, 16, 4152 Beach Ridge Road, North Tonawanda, were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana June 14 after a vehicle check by the sheriff's office in the 3900 block of Forest Parkway. Both are scheduled to appear Tuesday in Wheatfield Town Court.
