DWI: Courtney L. Condren, 19, of Lockport, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and acting in a manner injurious to a child younger than 17 years old after a traffic stop initiated by New York State Police about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on Rochester Road. Condren was held in custody, the police agency said.
DOG BITE: A Hosmer Road woman reported that she was bit by her friend's dog on Gow Road about 4 p.m. Tuesday. The woman told the Niagara County Sheriff's Office that when she arrived at the home and exited her car, she saw the dog on a leash in the yard. The dog broke free from the leash and proceeded to attack the woman. The bite reportedly broke through clothing and skin on the woman's buttocks. The woman said it was the second time the dog has attacked her and that she didn't report the first incident. The dog is a 4-year-old husky, white with brown patches and weighing around 80 pounds. The dog owner did not see the attack but was made aware of it and was advised to keep the dog on a leash at all times, the sheriff's office said.
BURGLARY: A homeowner in the 4700 block of Tonawanda Creek Road reported a Honda dirt bike was taken from the property some time between 3:30 and 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. The bike was stored in the garage, which may not have been locked overnight, according to the sheriff's office. The owner was advised to check eBay and craigslist and monitor her son's social media accounts.
