Falls woman is hit-and-run vic

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — NIAGARA FALLS — Police are looking for information from the public about a hit-and-run accident that killed a 23-year-old woman on Niagara Falls Boulevard late Monday. 

City police said the incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. in the 7200 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard, where the female pedestrian was struck by a westbound vehicle that left the scene. Police said the pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.

Police shut down the 7200 block for more than four hours as they processed and collected evidence. 

The investigation by the department's crash management team is ongoing. Anyone who has any information regarding the accident is asked to call the department's traffic division at 282-4563 or the information line at 286-4711.
