Vehicles broken into in Wilson

WILSON — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office reports a juvenile suspect was apprehended overnight after several vehicles were broken into in the village of Wilson.

One Lake Street victim reported to a deputy that someone entered her unlocked car overnight and stole a Samsung Slider cell phone, a black leather purse, her driver's license and three credit/debit cards.

The office has fielded several reports of car break-ins today. Residents are advised to check their vehicles and report any thefts to the sheriff's office.

A total number of vehicles broken into was not available Wednesday afternoon, and the suspect's name has not been released.

The office also reminds all Niagara County residents to take valuables inside and to lock their cars. If anyone sees suspicious activity, call 911 and report it.
