Tires slashed in WIlson

WILSON — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is investigating slashed tire complaints from residents in the Dorwood Park area.

Tires on at least three vehicles were slashed early Thursday on B and D streets. According to the Sheriff's Office, a deputy responded around 12:30 a.m. to investigate a report of criminal mischief; involving a white male slashing car tires in the trailer park.

The deputy could not locate a suspect, who was described as a white male, 6 foot tall wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.

The deputy spoke to three victims. A woman on B Street said she did not hear or see anyone slash her front right tire, nor did she know who could be a suspect or the reason why her tires got slashed.

Another B Street victim was out of town, but patrol contacted him by phone and was advised of the situation involving his damaged vehicle and of the other two incidences involving slashed tires in the park.

A D Street victim was unaware of the damage to his tires because he was asleep when the crime occurred.

Damage to all the tires slashed was estimated to be $800.
