Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Deputies then checked the exterior of the residence and discovered the rear sliding glass door was unsecured, as was the front door.
A deputy then spoke with a neighbor who reported the suspicious male. The neighbor said Buehler knocked on his door asking for help with his truck, but he neighbor was unable to help Buehler. The neighbor added the woman who lives at the residence where Buehler was found is on vacation.
A second witness said she saw a white male dressed in all white clothing walking down the driveway of the property where Buehler was found, carrying what appeared to be a white garbage bag to his truck.
Deputies contacted the homeowner, who said she was vacationing in California, and added she is certain that she secured all the doors to her residence. She gave deputies permission to search her house, and said she keeps two long guns on the property.
Patrol was not able to locate the guns. Deputies then searched the truck and found a white blanket, with unknown objects wrapped inside it beneath a blue tarp in the bed of the truck. They unwrapped the blanket and found the two guns, along with a woman’s purse filled with assorted ammunition.
Buehler was charged with burglary for illegally entering a dwelling, criminal possession of stolen property, grand larceny, petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana after Buehler admitted to having a small amount of marijuana on him. According to the report, the combined value of the two firearms is $600.
Buehler was arraigned in Town of Wilson court and held in lieu of $5,000 bail. He is due back in court on Thursday at 7 p.m.
