Lockport Union-Sun & Journal —

A Niagara Falls youth was charged with trespassing at Lockport High School on Monday.

Principal Frank Movalli called Lockport police to the school to speak with Lawnique Johnson, 16, who he had escorted to his office from the school cafeteria. A teacher became concerned after spotting Johnson in the cafeteria and realizing he didn't look familiar, according to police.

Johnson ran from the principal's office when an officer approached and did not stop when ordered to do so. He fled through the Lincoln Avenue exit and was seen running through yards. An officer caught up with him on Pine Street, police said.

Johnson was arraigned in City Court on three charges: third-degree criminal trespassing, obstruction of a government official and resisting arrest.
