TRUCK FIRE: The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and Terry’s Corners Volunteer Fire Co. responded to a vehicle fire about 5:40 p.m. Friday in the 8800 block of Chestnut Ridge Road. The vehicle owner, an Appleton resident, said he pulled his Ford F150 off to the side of the road after seeing flames under the hood and got his family and dogs out of the pickup before it became fully engulfed. The pickup, which had a 2013 Lared house trailer attached, was destroyed and the trailer sustained about $1,000 in fire damage, the sheriff’s office said.

Newfane

DRIVING OFFENSES: Martin H. Reyes Jr., 2772 Main St., was cited with driving an unregistered, uninsured vehicle and driving without a license after a 7:50 a.m. Friday traffic stop in the 6500 block of Charlotteville Road. Reyes was held on $250 bail ahead of arraignment Tuesday in Newfane Town Court.

DRIVING OFFENSES: Kyle T. Stewart, 27, 2127 River Road, Niagara Falls, was cited with driving with a suspended license and driving a vehicle without a front license plate after a 7:50 a.m. Friday traffic stop in the 6500 block of Charlotteville Road. Stewart’s vehicle was following Martin Reyes’ vehicle and pulled into a driveway after Reyes’ vehicle was stopped, according to the sheriff’s office; the front license plate that was supposed to be on Stewart’s vehicle was on Reyes’ vehicle instead. Stewart received tickets for the driving offenses, then was turned over to the custody of Lockport Police Department, after a records check showed he’s the subject of a City Court warrant.
