City of Lockport

MARIJUANA: Matthew R. Huttenmaier, 22, 33 Zimmerman St., North Tonawanda, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Monday. He was turned over to North Tonawanda Police on a warrant and is slated to return to Lockport City Court on June 3.

ASSAULT: Michael D. Niles, 21, 408 Walnut St., was charged with third-degree assault Monday. He's due today in Lockport City Court.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Joshua Taylor, 22, 33 Erie St. apt. 2, was charged with disorderly conduct May 11. Taylor was due in City Court on Monday.

ASSAULT: Brandon Randolph, 21, 243 Lincoln Ave., was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct May 11. Randolph was due in City Court on Monday.

Town of Lockport

CONTRABAND: Michael R. McGuire, 23, 3131 Woodland Ave., Niagara Falls, was charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance around 1:05 p.m. Monday, after he was found in possession of an unlisted amount of suboxone. McGuire was arraigned in Lockport Town Court and was ordered held in lieu of $500 bail. He is due to return to court June 5.

CONTRABAND: Efrain A. Baretto, no permanent address, was charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband around 3:40 p.m. Monday, after he was found in possession of 13 antidepressant pills at the county jail. Baretto received a ticket to appear in Town Court on Thursday.

LARCENY: Connie S. Gollhardt, 49, 6343 Robinson Road, was charged with petit larceny about 4:15 p.m. May 11. Gollhardt was issued an appearance ticket by the sheriff's office. She is due in Lockport Town Court on Thursday.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: An Academy Lane man reported that an unknown person destroyed his mailbox around 11:20 p.m. May 10. A witness observed a dark colored vehicle pull up to the mailbox and heard a clicking sound followed by a "small flash." When the vehicle pulled away, the witness said she heard a bang and the mailbox fell into the street. There was no physical evidence to suggest an explosive or fireworks were used on the mailbox, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office said. The case was closed pending new information.
