Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Lockport police want the public's help finding three men who are suspected of robbing a High Street resident and his friends at gunpoint on Monday.

According to police, the resident complained he and two of his male friends were held up by three black males as all were gathered at the complainant's residence around 8:30 p.m. Monday.

The complainant reported that when one of his friends got up to leave the residence, the three black males all brandished hand guns and ordered the others to empty their pockets.

Three victims turned over cash and personal property. Two of them were pistol-whipped by the suspects, Detective Capt. Richard Podgers said; one was treated for cuts at Eastern Niagara Hospital.

Police identified one of the suspects as Rakeem J. Hamilton, age 16. Hamilton is described as a black male, about 5 feet-five inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds. Hamilton lives with a relative in the town of Lockport and has other family in Niagara Falls, police said.

The other suspects are described as: a black male possibly known as "Ty," 20 to 30 years old and with a thin build; and an unnamed black male in his early 20s, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 220 pounds, with a muscular build.

Anyone with information about the suspects' identities and/or whereabouts is asked to call the police at 433-7700.
