Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Two of the three men wanted in Monday's High Street robbery – one that involved pistol whipping the victims – are in custody, Lockport Police said Thursday.
Dominique Houser, 23 and Jerquan Morange, 23 were arrested late Thursday in Niagara Falls by New York State Police and the Niagara Falls City Police Department for parole violations.
Both will be charged with felony first-degree robbery and assault, Lockport Detective Capt. Richard Podgers said. The duo was charged with first-degree robbery because a firearm was used in the commission of the crime, Podgers said.
Both suspects were held Thursday in Niagara Falls and are expected to be transferred to Niagara County Jail sometime today, after Lockport Police attempt to speak with them.
Police reported earlier this week that a High Street resident and his friends were held up at gunpoint on Monday by three black men. The suspects reportedly took cash and personal property, then pistol-whipped two of the victims.
Podgers said the third suspect, Rakeem J. Hamilton, is still at large. Hamilton is described as a black male, about 5 feet-five inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds. Hamilton lives with a relative in the town of Lockport and has other family in Niagara Falls, police said Monday.
"We're still looking for him," Podgers said.
Anyone with information about the suspects’ identities or whereabouts is asked to call the Lockport police at 433-7700.
