Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — A Lockport native was charged Sunday with collecting unemployment insurance while working a job in Texas, according to the New York State Police.
Judy A. McNew, 37, received more than $9,000 in New York State unemployment benefits while she worked at a restaurant in Texas, police said.
McNew was charged with third-degree grand larceny, offering to file a false instrument and falsifying business records, all felonies, according to police said. She was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Lockport City Court on April 7.
