Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Three men face marijuana charges
A Lockport police officer, who was attempting to locate a man on a criminal contempt charge, arrested three city men on marijuana misdemeanors Thursday on Locust Street.
Francisco Poll, 49, 96 Locust St. Apt. 6 was charged with fifth-degree possession of marijuana and criminal contempt. Paul Kress, 37, 16 South St. was charged obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest and fifth-degree possession of marijuana. Matthew J. Bentley, 25, 421 Vine St. was charged with fifth-degree possession of marijuana.
According to the arrest report, police detected the odor of marijuana and saw the men smoking. Bentley was arrested without incident, but Kress struggled with the officer and was non-compliant, officers reported. Police used a Taser and placed Kress in handcuffs.
