Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Cheers: The Newfane and Wilson school districts plan to share superintendents, at least on a temporary basis, following the retirement of Christine Tibbetts from Newfane. Over the next three months, Michael S. Wendt will lead both districts. If the school boards are satisfied with the arrangement, it will continue. This move comes on the heels of a decision by the Roy-Hart and Barker school boards to share a superintendent. We’re hopeful that more school districts will follow these leads and examine other avenues to share more services to give taxpayers some relief.
