Panthers capture school's first ever N-O soccer title outright

Reid gave LHS a 4-0 halftime lead when senior Jerry West fired a shot on goal and Reid was there to put the rebound away, giving Reid and Ford a share of the NFL scoring title with 19 goals apiece.
Beshaw rounded out the Lions’ scoring parade early in the second half, assisted by junior Chris MacDonald.
GIRLS SOCCER
Lockport 3, Ken East 0
The NFL-champion Lady Lions improved to 13-0-1 in the league and 14-1-1 overall with a big “Senior Night” win over the visiting Lady Bulldogs on Thursday.
Gretta Dry opened the scoring for head coach Mike Finnerty’s team, assisted by Marissa Finnerty.
Lauren Wager gave the host blue and gold a 2-0 halftime lead with a goal assisted by Dry.
In the second half, Lockport’s Kim Hamilton rounded out the LHS scoring with her first tally of the season, assisted by Wager.
LHS keeper Jayme Wadosky earned her league-leading ninth shutout of the season.
Dry and Wager are tied for the team lead in points with 41 apiece. Wager has 16 goals and nine assists to date, while Dry has 14 goals and 13 assists.

PENDLETON — Carissima Cutrona had a goal and an assist for the visiting Lady Billies (12-2-1).
The Lady Spartans (7-8-1) fired seven shots on goal, but Lauren Haase was able to hold on for the shutout.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Lockport 3, NT 1
NORTH TONAWANDA — Head coach Joe Whalen’s Lions beat the host Jacks in four sets on Senior Night at NT, 25-12, 25-18, 27-29,
25-8.
The Lions got off to a quick start as the offense played efficiently, mixing middle attacks with outsides. All of the attackers
registered kills and transitioned well. Lockport won 25-12. 
After game one, the Lions began substituting heavily. At one point late in the game, the Lions had used all of their allotted substitutions. Passer Jon Traversone had a particularly good night in the backcourt, his passes were clean and effective.
