City of Lockport
• CHARGED: Corey F. McDonald, 22, 341 Park Lane Circle, Apt. 4, was charged with DWI and failure to keep right. McDonald was stopped for a traffic violation and police noticed the smell of alcohol on the driver’s breath. McDonald failed field sobriety tests.
• CHARGED: Heriberto Molina Jr., 22, 119 High St. was charged with DWI and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Molina was stopped at 3:20 a.m. Sunday after swerving on Washburn Street. Molina only had a learner’s permit and the police could smell the odor of alcohol. He failed field sobriety tests and had a positive ALCO sensor reading.
• CHARGED: Bradley J. Criswell, 22, 19 Works Place, Apt. B, was charged with second-degree harassment, fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree menacing and second-degree coercion. After a verbal argument, the victim stated that Criswell pushed her, grabbed her by the throat and began shaking her. When the victim tried to call police, Criswell kicked the phone out of her hand, put his hand over her mouth, pushed her and spit in her face, according to the report .
• CHARGED: John R. Platt, 20, 122 Cottage St., and Addy J. Hill, 20, 122 Cottage St., were charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance. Police executed a traffic stop on Cottage Street and Hill was the driver. Platt had white residue on his nose, a straw which contained white residue and a marijuana cigarette, the report said. Platt was also charged with possession of marijuana. Further charges are pending laboratory testing.
• CHARGED: Allan T. Birkmeyer, 16, 14 Rochester St., was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. The patrol reported to Walnut Street for the report of a person swinging at trees with what appeared to be a lawnmower blade. There was damage to trees on Walnut Street and photographs were taken.
North Tonawanda
• CHARGED: Richard J. Silversmith, 19, 2668 Van Horn Ave., Newfane, was arrested Saturday on a warrant for an original offense of disorderly conduct on July 25, 2007. Silversmith was being held in lieu of $400 bail.
Wheatfield
• PETIT LARCENY: A Rochester woman reported that sometime Saturday an unknown person smashed out the front passenger-side window of her vehicle while it was parked on Trailsend Lane and removed a Tom Tom GPS that was connected to the windshield. The value of the window and GPS were $200 each.
• PETIT LARCENY: An Alder Creek resident reported that an unknown suspect entered her vehicle which was parked in the driveway and removed the face plate from the radio and a pay check. The victim said she had the checked canceled. The estimated loss was $200.
Newfane
• BURGLARY: A Lockport-Olcott Road woman reported a burglary sometime between Oct. 18, 2007 and March 29, 2008. An unknown person entered the residence and removed three rings, three watches and four necklaces valued at $1,374. The three rings were estimated at $500, $125 and $289. The three watches were estimated at $100 each. The four necklaces were estimated at $50, $25, $25 and $60.
