The Niagara County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a Level-2 sex offender who has allegedly failed to register a change of address.
Lawrence H. Camman, 59, who has lived in both Lockport and Niagara Falls, has allegedly failed to notify officials that he has moved.
Camman reportedly has a bench warrant out of the Town of Lockport on a weapons charge.
Camman was charged in December with fourth-degree promoting prostitution and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon after he allegedly solicited a woman in his apartment building for sex.
Camman had allegedly drawn up a 10-page handwritten “contract” describing the sexual acts the woman would be required to perform if Camman paid her, the report said.
According to the state sex offender registry, Camman was convicted in 1998 of first-degree attempted sexual abuse in the City of Lockport. The victim was a 4-year-old girl, and according to the registry, Camman was her baby-sitter.
He was sentenced to 16 months to four years in prison.
Anyone with information about Camman’s whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 438-3407.
