MIDDLEPORT: 2 adults, 1 juvenile accused of marijuana possession

— Two Middleport residents and a juvenile are facing charges of marijuana possession. According to police reports, they were apprehended in the Town of Centerville with approximately one pound of marijuana in their vehicle.
The two adults, Scott E. Sherwood and Vicki L. Heschke, both 48 and both of Stone Road, Middleport, were charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class D felony; second-degree criminal sale of marijuana, a class D felony; and endangering the welfare of a child. The juvenile was charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force arrested the three Thursday. The task force was assisted by members of the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and State Police troopers from Amity and Lockport.
The two adults were processed in Amity, arraigned in Friendship Town Court and remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of bail. The juvenile was issued a family court appearance ticket and was turned over to the custody of the Allegany County Child Protective Services.
